Following the shooting, which left Kivuti injured in the chest and thigh, Kipruto was swiftly neutralized by his fellow officers who responded to the scene.

Three other individuals, including court orderlies, also sustained injuries during the chaotic incident. In response to the alarming attack, Chief Justice Koome ordered immediate measures to enhance security for judicial officers across the country.

She directed the closure of Makadara Law Courts until security reinforcements could be implemented. All court proceedings scheduled there would proceed virtually, ensuring the safety of all involved.

This incident has raised significant concerns about the safety of judicial staff and the security protocols in place within court premises. Chief Justice Koome emphasized the urgency of bolstering security measures to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.

The Judiciary Police Unit was tasked with liaising with the Office of the Inspector General to implement comprehensive security enhancements at all court stations nationwide.
