A man and his girlfriend are being held at Kisumu Central police station in connection with a murder incident after a 22-year-old woman was pushed from the second floor of a storey building at Lolwe estate over a suspected love triangle.

The suspects, a man and a woman, are currently in police custody, facing allegations of murder.

According to reports from the authorities, the incident is believed to have stemmed from a complex love triangle.

Mulai says that according to neighbours, the deceased had followed the man, 30, to the house and found him with another woman, 25, when a confrontation ensued and the deceased was pushed down from the balcony.

The young woman, caught in the midst of the turmoil, found herself entangled in a dispute that ultimately cost her life.

Kisumu Central Sub County police boss, Peter Mulai, revealed that the fatal altercation ensued when the victim confronted the man, aged 30, after discovering him in the company of another woman, purportedly his wife.

The situation quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, culminating in the victim being pushed from the balcony.

The tragic outcome highlights the dangers of unresolved conflicts and the consequences of unchecked emotions. What began as a confrontation over matters of the heart tragically ended in the loss of a young life.

Following the altercation, the man rushed the injured woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Medical examination revealed that she had suffered a severe head injury, resulting in fatal bleeding.

Once the investigations are concluded, the suspects are expected to be arraigned in court to face charges related to the woman's death. However, no amount of legal proceedings can undo the irreparable harm caused by this tragic event.
